The Slow Conventional Implant Process

Conventional implants are around 5 mm in width and made of various components held together by an implant screw. This thick diameter requires a large hole in the jawbone, which many patients don’t have enough jawbone for without a bone graft. To place conventional implants, an incision is made in your gums to reveal the bone underneath. Then, a series of drills increasing in size make a hole in your jawbone large enough for the implant.
